Jackie's Café in New Buffalo Michigan serves fresh made to order Breakfast and Lunch daily, created by famous Chicago Chef, Jackie Shen. Her creative twist on breakfast favorites are becoming local favorites. Jackie's 'Back Door' bakery offers treats, desserts and take home meals as well. Jackie also caters for small groups and provides countless hours, donations and food for non-profits around the Harbor Country Area. Jackie is considered the Queen of Fusion, combining French and Asian Cuisines, and is also known for her famous Chocolate Bag dessert.

For a combined 40+ years, cousins/butchers/pitmasters Matt and Shawn have been mastering the craft of BBQ. They’ve developed original recipes and trade knowledge thanks to their BBQ journey. Now partnered with Chef Jackie, we bring you Back Door BBQ.

At her namesake restaurant, Jackie’s, which she opened in the then Bohemian neighborhood of Lincoln Park, she was recognized by Chicago Magazine as the first chef in Chicago to combine her skills in French cuisine and her cultural roots, becoming known as the “Queen of Fusion.” For 13 years Jackie’s was a Chicago destination for out-of-towners such as Robert Redford and Paul Newman as well as local regular patrons Oprah Winfrey, Mike Royko, Studs Terkel and Ann Landers.
